Tallow Dish Soap - 16 fl oz

Our most cleansing formula yet, this soap is specifically designed to cut through the grease and grime of dirty dishes without the use of harsh chemical surfactants so far removed from anything natural that the FDA prohibits their use of the word "soap" (see: Dawn's eerily vague Dish "Liquid" or Dove's "Beauty Bar"). Plus, it's 100% fragrance-free! No more fake, cloying citrus (or the nebulous "Fresh" & "Clean") scents so strong that you can taste it on your dishes for weeks!

Tips for use: Natural soap needs water to function effectively as water helps soap molecules form "micelles", which are crucial for lifting dirt and oil, allowing them to be rinsed away. With that in mind, grab one of them bowls in your dirty dish pile, squirt in a tablespoon of soap, Add about a 1/4 cup of HOT water (about half a sponge full), and mix it up with your sponge until bubbly. Viola! Enough soapy goodness to scrub an entire evening's worth of dishes.

Because it's made from real ingredients, natural soap can dry out and clog dispensers more easily than chemical surfactants. The easiest workaround I've found for this is to simply leave the cap in the open position to allow the soap to drain back into the bottle.

Potential sensitivity note - Lauric acid is a natural saturated fatty acid derived from coconut oil. However, lauric acid contains none of coconut oil's proteins which are generally what causes a reaction in those sensitive/allergic to it. While you should be good to go, you know your physiology better than I do. Your trepidation should be proportionate to your sensitivity.
