I’m busy. And, I hate writing reviews, because I’m frankly convinced that 98% are written by bots anyway, so why would anyone pay attention to them in the first place? Yet here I am, taking the time to write one. Why? Because I bet I’ve tried more than 100 different hair products over the years, trying to find one that just does what I want it to do. There always seems to be some compromise, and I’m left just shy of satisfied. But, now I think I’m done looking. Seriously. This Cowlick stuff actually does everything I’m looking for. Everything. Will it do the same for you? How the hell should I know? We don’t even know each other. I don’t know the first thing about your or your hair. So, I can’t answer your silly question. But I’ll tell you about my experience, and you can make your own choice on that.
I have reddish brown hair, and I’ve alway sorta hated the color. So, I end up looking for products that keep a bit of a “wet” look, because it makes it look a shade darker. Weird? Probably, but that’s what I like, and this stuff delivers. It’s sorta modest about it though; not overly wet, and definitely not greasy looking. More like a lightweight gelled look. If you’re with me so far, then let’s move on to how it feels.
I don’t want that stiff feel that you get with typical gels. Frankly, I guess I don’t really care that much, but I have to believe my wife is more likely to run her fingers through it if it isn’t crunchy, you know? At the same time, neither one of us want it to feel oily and greasy. I don’t want to touch my hair and then feel like I have to wash my hands. Ain’t no one got time for that. But guess what? This ain’t that either. My hair feels like…my hair. Maybe a little light feel of product, but it’s almost non-existent. Total non-factor here.
But does it hold my hair? Does it keep the style? Look buddy, I wouldn’t be writing all this crap if it didn’t, would I? Right. Honestly, it’s like some sort of black magic or something. Everything just stays put. But, it’s flexible, so if the wind blows it around, I can just restyle it. Voila! Boom. Crazy.
Okay, last but not least, this stuff smells like…nothing. That’s it. Nothing at all. No funky smell concocted in some lab that’s supposed to smell manly, or sexy, or mysterious, or whatever the hell else seemingly every other product under the sun tries to accomplish. And I love that about this stuff. If I want to wear some cologne, the smell of my hair isn’t competing with it. If I don’t, and just want to not smell like anything, it’s on board with that too. Huge, huge plus in my book.
So there it is. If this was too long and you skipped to the end, here’s the cliff notes: this gives my hair a moderate wet look; it has almost no feel in my hair, and doesn’t leave it either crunchy or greasy/oily; it has awesome control, allowing me restyle through the day if I need/want; and it has no odor at all. I’ve already bought more, just to ensure I don’t run out.

Excellent product. This purchase will replace the last one I used up completely ! This is by far my favorite deodorant. Although it does not have a scent, the purpose is to neutralize my “scent”…

I love this cream. The Marrow skin cream is the best I've ever used. Before I found this brand, I tried three other fancy brands, but they didn't' t feel as good and I didn't see the benefits like I did with this brand. It's the only cream that gets rid of my under eye puffiness and dark circles too. It makes my face, neck and chest feel so moisturized and healthy. I got my daughter, husband and son in law all using it!!!
This cream is fantastic. Just a tiny bit melts into the skin and holds in moisture, reducing fine lines. It's especially helpful in the winter. I have ordered it before, along with Winter version of Beef Balm, and will continue to do so. Thank you for making these wonderful skin products!
